Accessibility in the garden
Right now, Ability Agriculture has teamed up with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal to offer 10 schools in Rural, Regional and Remote Australia Vegepods.
AND, it got me thinking…
About how something as simple as a raised vegie garden can enable accessibility for a range of students to access gardening. Obviously, I’m a big gardening fan for hands on learning activities! Especially in the early years and special education.
AND, it also got me thinking…
What other simple tools can be used to make more outdoor activities accessible e.g. simply raising and enabling under foot access of work benches.
We must design hands on learning experiences with accessibility in mind. Developing the skills and passion is important in enabling our future workforce.
